Speech/Language Therapy
Pediatric speech therapy supports children with speech and/or language deficits that impact their communication skills across a variety of settings. Speech therapy serves a wide variety of disorders including, but not limited to, non-verbal children, cognitive deficits, hearing loss, suspected or known medical diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down Syndrome, and language delays.
Speech Disorders

Articulation- production of sounds in words, sentences, and conversations

Phonology- patterns of speech sound productions

Childhood Apraxia of Speech- difficulty with the motor planning movements needed to make speech sounds

Receptive Language- understanding concepts, vocabulary, grammar, and following directions

Expressive Language- communicating wants and needs with appropriate grammar and vocabulary

"Late talker"- toddler between 18-30 months with delayed communication milestones

How to get started with SPT
Consultation
The first step of the process will be a quick phone call to learn more about your concerns for your child.
Evaluation
A comprehensive speech and language evaluation will be completed prior to services to determine eligibility for treatment, areas of concern, and plan of care.
Treatment
An individualized treatment plan will be determined for your child with the recommended frequency and duration of sessions.
